I totally agree. Many times they don't even say from which background they belong and what kind of a name they prefer. There are different names for different customs. It can be christian, Muslim, Jew anything or even Indian, American, Arab. I too wanted to look for names when I was pregnant but keeping names by someone elses opinion would not be my type. Well yes someone asking if the name they've chosen is nice or not won't be objectionable but names that I chose may not be liked by everyone for sure.

Sometimes people want their own opinion on their own name choices. It's nothing to be rude about.
