I have been using Dove's Energy Glow skin wash for my face.Since then,I have been having a lot of breakouts and large pimples. Can it really be a facewash,or possibly stress from finals? Any suggestions for a better face wash? I normally have a very clear and soft complextion.I want it back!

Dove actually damaged my skin instead of helping it. I recommend using St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Normally I would use the scrub every other day because the beads tend to dry out your skin. So while on the other days you are not using the scrub, try using Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser. And if you want to make it even more smooth, don't forget to use face lotion after. Hope this helped!

If you haven't used a cleanser at all before or haven't for a while then your skin needs to get use to the formula.

If you are washing more than the recommended use that's another reason why you breakout more. should only be twice a day unless its recommended 3X a day. When you wash more you are making your pores produce more oil. Oil is what collects dirt and buildup inside your pores if pores are not toned or closed. Toner closes your pores. If you are only cleansing you should as well tone then moisturize.

Here read on the website on WHY you should cleanse WHAT it does and HOW it works. http://www.artistry.com/en/skincare/order-of-use-10552.aspx

It does have to do with stress. But I also had bad acne, and I tried Pro activ the supposedly "best" stuff out there, and it didn't work for me, it made it worse. So by luck, my mom gave me this "ANEW" face wash from Avon and has worked amazingly on my face. That along with lots of water and moisturizer every time I wash my face.

They can absolutely worsen your skin. It could be too harsh for your skin or even an allergic reaction to an ingredient. It's certainly possible that the stress is contributing but I would recommend switching back to the product you were using before.

you should try Pond's Facial Cloths, it removes oil, dirt, and makeup without you having to scrub your face, scrubbing your face can irritate your pores and be prone to breakouts. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub, but I only use it like once every other day, and then just soap everyday. I usually don't have breakouts, but ProActiv works really good, if your skin can take it

It can be your face wash, you can be having a reaction to it, you have to try different kind and find what works best for you, but remeber face wash removes dirt and ect. which means it bring it out of your pores and to the surface to be elimanated, it just might be the cleaning process, and YES STRESS has a bing impact on your breakouts

Good luck!

Dove sucks it made my face worse and my hair felt disgusting when I used the shampoo. It could be finals also, but I still think Dove is the worst.

Here is a suggestion - if you had very clear and soft skin before - GO BACK TO WHAT YOU WERE USING BEFORE :)

Ditch the Dove!!!

Buy something that conforms to your skin type (dry, oily....). Some face wash brands are particularly made for a woman's skin.

I recomend Biore, i imagine you'll discover it at maximum drugstore.i take advantage of the anti-blackhead purifier, it clears pores beforehand pimples may even initiate and the version is noticable. i tried the Neutrogena zits wash too and that i found it develop into to harsh for my pores and skin, it made it extra pink, and tender.
