So my dorm room is right across the hall from the guys' bathroom (I'm a girl). Our door was open tonight, and one of the guys walked out of the guys' bathroom. I was going to tease him about not wearing a shirt (which we all do because he often doesn't, but that's a different story). I got as far as "woo hoo" when I realized he was only wearing a towel. After that I kinda freaked out and didn't say anything else. I'm SO embarrassed.

This isn't a college situation...more of a work situation (they provide us room and board).
Also, he's engaged and pretty conservative (besides the whole towel thing).

Just walk up to him and say. ____ I am terribly embarrassed by what happened. I'm very sorry, my intent was to tease you about not wearing a shirt; and then when I did, it was bad timing. I hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable, and if I did, again, I apologize.

i know u werent sexually harrassing the dude
but in a way some guys just like it
or dont give it much attention
unless the one who did it
is ....ummmmm from the same gender
or at work
especially at work
he was walking out of the bath room
almost naked
so he sure knew he would recieve lots and lots of
comments
so dont give it much attention
and if in a way he told u or showed u he was bothered
just tell him

dont make it a big deal
and dont act really embarressed
because in a negative way

He shouldn't be wearing only a towel in a coed dorm. Many lawyers could probably coin that as sexual harassment in itself. As far as apologizing just say that you thought he was somebody else. That way if he was offended he won't think that it was personal and will probably be cool with it.

I would apologize only if he was offended. you know you didnt know that he just had a towel on . I would say since you clearly are not a sexual harrasser , I would let the sleeping dog lay sort of speak . just never do that again if your worried about being accused of sexual harrasment .. LOL.

You are only harassing someone if your behavior is unwelcome and you persist. If you believe you might have crossed the line, simply apologize and ask him for forgiveness. Then you will find out if he felt harassed or just kidded with.

I seriously would doubt that he would remember but just in case he shoould remember be prepared to tell him "I am sorry" along with a sad face (but without any tears in it).

what u did was not with bad intentions. u want boys to come out of the bath room properly clothed. write out a polite letter to the authorities requesting them to issue a notice to all boys about this and signed by all girls who agree with you, that should solve the problem.
