"Now" is only this moment in time. "For now" means this moment and the following few moments. "By now" meansthe past few moments up until now. Hope that helps.

The meanings of the required expressions, according to my understanding, would be as under.
Now: at the present moment; in these times.
For now: for the present; that is, taking into different possibilities, the current disposition.
By now: something has already happened which is known before this moment.

Now means right now at this moment. for now means temporary subject to change. by now means it has probably happened already or waiting for it to happen.
