(round trip) to the post office to buy some stamps. i got some dollar coins in change from the machine. two questions. (1) from where you are now, would you walk a mile out and back in the dark and (2) dollar coins, good or bad?

No, I prefer walking in the daytime. That way the gators won't get me. At least I can see them in the daytime.
Dollar coins... definitely bad, too much like a quarter.
If they want to use them, they should make them substantially bigger than the quarter.
But I don't like using them. The dollar bill is much better.

2- Dollar coins should just be dropped! Okay, it has been tried two time before this (Susan B. Anthony and Sacagawea) and they never caught on... so, they are useless... also! There are already faults in some, where on the edge there is no "In God we Trust" and on some there is not George Washington! They are just not meant to be! So, let's stay with the dollar bills... and not waste money on making money no one will use (and they will keep the in production until 2015, I believe... going through every president in order until then or is it 2017...? I forget...)

I would have a few years ago, but there have been some kidnapping attempts here in the past few years, So I wouldn't walk alone. I don't even like my son walking home alone from school, and he is only alone 2 days a week for about 1/4 mile on the main rd in town.

No I wouldn't, I live in the country, and there is a forest out back. Dollar Coins are good.

No, I live out in the country and there is very little light and it wouldn't be safe walking along the highway. And the new dollar coins are cool. I like them. I liked the Sacajawea ones,too, but they got discontinued.

abot 40 minutes 2/3 of the time so u think 20*3=60 so it takes 20 minutes to walk a mile so times 20 by 2 nd u get 40

Where i am at right now I would walk a mile in the dark. I feel somewhat safe, I would carry a big stick or bring my dog. As for the money issue, they both equal the same amount so I will take either.

1. yes. i live near a walgreens and i could always go for a midnight candy bar :)
2. NO NO NO! bills are so much better! i hate carrying change for one, and two it is so much easier lost...
although they say that a dollar coin will last longer, i still choose the bill over it anyday...

yes but not this late and i hate the dollar coins they are too easily confused with the quarters.good luck.
