J. Peavy is a great player to have. Beckett will prob. get more wins bc he has a better hitting team behind him but in all other catergories Peavy is much better. Brian roberts is not really having a great season and I would rather have Cano. I would definitly do the trade man. Good luck!

This is a difficult decision. It is a case of long term success versus getting better right now. Both pitchers are a lock for 17 plus wins, and both could be cy young contenders.
If you want to be good right now, I would not be willing to give up Josh Beckett at this point in the season. His team is playing too good. However, he will cool off. While Peavy has better numbers in most statistical categories, his wins will suffer due to the lack of run production from his lineup. In the long term, it may be better to have him, because his ERA, WHIP, and BAA will stay low, even if he has a few less wins.
As far as Cano and Roberts go, they are both equally cold right now. I think they will both get better during the year, but the ceiling is higher for Cano. He will help you more in the long run, because he is an All-Star and future MVP candidate.
I think the trade is pretty even. It comes down to personal preference. Personally, I wouldn't do it. I like the way the Red Sox are playing too much, and the Yankees struggles have me worried.

Cano is an amazing player for his age. I would make the trade just to watch him perform so well.

Depends what series they are, what year, if they are inserts...
There are tons of things to consider.
Try consulting an online beckett guide. It may make your decision easier.

I wouldn't do it. You should hold on to Beckett.

You should make any trade that might lead to you going out on a date.
