If your doctor who performed the procedure just tied them off and didn't cut, knot and cauterize them there is that small percentage of getting pregnant. Remember eggs are microscopic they can fit through a loose knot or a damaged tube. But if they were severed knotted and then cauterized shut, the chances are pretty much zip. You probably have a very high fertility rate on top of that. I would have a better qualified doctor redo it and make sure those tubes are gone this time so it won't happen again.

Probably your tubal ligation was only tied up and not cut or excised as it's usually done for double security. And the tying just came undone if at all.esp if it was just a granny or slip knot. Remember ,the egg can only be fertilized in the fallopian tubes. So tubal pregnancy is out of the question and life threatening besides. You probably became pregnant via artificial insemination or via in vitro-fertilization.

There is nothing in this life that is guaranteed, and that includes the long-term success of both tubal ligations and vasectomies.

Each of these depends on the skill of the surgeon, and on your body not spontaneously reversing the surgery. You can account for the first of these, but you cannot control the second.

When you "tie" something you take the risk of it coming "UNTIED". I also have to remind myself of my higher power is in control of my destiny. I was taking bithcontrol when I became pregnant with both of my children. That just proved to me no matter what I want, my creator has the final say.I would definitly count this pregnancy a VERY SPECIAL CHILD!

It's possible you still had an egg lying around after the surgery, and had sex too soon after the surgery.

It's also possible that they botched the operation.
