Are they the same?

The manual also says I can use NDX22ES, Bosch X270 T-17, or Champion A7Y-MC.

Which do you recommend? Why?

That link is perfect.
I would stay with the NGK, (I did) because I never had a problem with them. The only thing I can get to run consistently with Champion is Briggs and Stratton (my lawnmower). Bosch makes quality stuff, but they are usually a lot more $ than the others. I don't know what NDX is.

I had a CB550 and I had the best luck with the NGK but I live in a cold climate. The ES and EA are design of the firing end. A stands for special design and S stands for standard 2.5 mm electrode core.

The number 7 is the heat range the E is the thread (19mm I think).. the last number ??? I would try to go to www.NGK.com to find out the manufacturers ratings.. I think they have a section that explains their coding... like "spark plugs 101 or something like that...
