Prescription drugs and anti depressants are not natural and can mess you up more then pot ever will. I remember when I was in elementary school and I had been diagnosed with Behavior disorder and clinical depression. My mom took me to a hospital and I stayed their for six months. They kept switching my meds and they could never get it right. They had me on riddlen and all kinds of stuff. One med made me gain tons of weight in a matter of weeks, another med made me laugh about everything, I just couldn't stop laughing, even laughing at inappropriate situations. When I left the hospital they switched the meds again. The med they gave me made me very aggressive and violent. If my mom asked me to do something, I would often lash out at her and threatened her. I even threatened her with a knife. After that incident, she took me off all the meds all together. After that I was fine, back to my self. Pot on the other hand has never done any of those things that I just described.

I can tell you why prescription drugs are legal... When you are given a prescription drug you are SUPPOSED to be under the care of a doctor, who will also tell you that you shouldn't drive, take other meds, or whatever you should or shouldn't do to stay safe. A doctor is supposed to monitor the drugs effectiveness and side effects. A doctor is supposed to keep you from mis-using the drug.

When a drug is considered safe enough for most of the public to take it, it's made available over the counter. Pot SHOULD be legal, at LEAST with a doctors prescription.

There are LOTS of legal 'drugs' that aren't really safe -- alcohol is a big one. Alcohol has destroyed more lives than all the wars ever fought, yet it's perfectly legal. Personally, I think that as long as alcohol is legal, pot should be too, as well as other life-destroying things like gambling and prostitution. That's only logical, right?

To say pot isn't a real drug is ridiculous . It is a drug, just like nicotine is a drug. The question should be, given the fact that pot is a fairly low-risk drug, shouldn't it be legal? The reason I don't want pot to be legal is because I think it makes people lazy and kind of stupid. Not exactly stupid, but slow thinking and boring. Plus, people who smoke a lot of pot tend to get sick a lot and become forgetful. Other than that, it's probably safer than drinking a lot of alcohol.

chances are you were never messed up to begin with and thats why the different drugs messed u up so bad, u were probably just a normal kid. And you have to love how all the prescription drugs that are suppose to stop you from being depressed "may cause suicide". The problem with pot is that it slows you down, makes you not want to do anything. I've seen two of my friends commit suicide bc they weren't going anywhere in life, because they layed around all day, BECAUSE they smoked pot.

Perhaps if you had gone through 10 years of schooling to know how to regulate controlled substances, the government would let you prescribe yourself marijuana.
