People who had boys with their fist pregnancy's....?

Question

Did you go early or late? I hear boys are always usually late, and also your usually late with your first baby. But im 37 weeks, dialated and 80% effaced. Doctor said I can go anytime, and hes sure it will be before my due date. Please, no lectures on how my doctor cant predict if ill go early. I just want to know if your 1st baby was a boy, how many weeks were you when you went into labor? thanks!

well my little two were early. My first one 3 weeks early and my second one my water broke 3 months early and the dr kept him in there for about 6 weeks so he was about 6 weeks early!! Good luck with your little boy.

I always heard that about boys and first babies, too, and in my case it was exactly right.

I had a c-section 10 days after my due date. We were at the hospital getting ready to induce, when the nurse did one last ultrasound to check the baby's position (because I kept asking over and over 'are you sure he's really head down?') and they discovered he was frank breech, face up, with his knees locked and both arms up over his head. Yep, that's my boy!

I started to efface at about 35 weeks (I think, my pregnancy calander is downstairs), and at 37 weeks I think I was 70% effaced, but I was only a fingertip dialated (and it stayed that way), and he never dropped down.

My sister-in-law was pregnant at the same time, and she had a girl. She went overdue as well, but only by something like 2 days.

My first is a boy (almost 7 years old) and he was due August 5th but was born June 5th, 9 weeks early. I'm pregnant with another boy and my due date is August 12th. The doctors are thinking I will go early again so I'm on bed rest until 36 weeks. I'm hoping to make it to July at least.

My first baby was a boy well my only child (lol). I was 20 when I had him. I began going in to labor at 26 1/2 weeks and I was given brethine several times and that stopped my labor. Then my dr told me after I made it to 38 weeks he would let me have him....well 38 weeks came and went and I didnt ever go into labor again. After about 6 times before 38 weeks going into labor my dr induced me 2 days before my due date. I was in labor about 4 hours.

My first son was born at 32 weeks. I have more complicated pregnancies though. There is a way your Dr can tell if you will be going soon other than the fact that your cervix is thinned and dilated. It is known as Fetal Fibrin Nectin test, FfN. This is a cu tip swab of your cervix to check for a specific type of protein. Results within an hour. Hope all goes well and Congrats

I was on bed rest with toxemia. He came 3 weeks early. I was dilated 2 and 80% effaced for 2 weeks before that. He had a lot of problems and was in the hospital for a week before he came home to me.

My first pregnancy was a boy and I was 3 weeks early.
I was 37 weeks to the day! I was in labor for 36 hours.
and I never heard of having boys or your first pregnancy goes later

All of mine are boys (I'm at 31 weeks with number 3). The first came at 34.5 weeks, we don't know why, he was 6lbs 9oz and perfectly healthy. Number two came at 37 weeks and this third one is threatening to come early but he measures pretty big right now so we just don't know. Your baby is more than big enough and old enough, your doctor is probably more accurate than we would be. Of course, my doctor with my first told me it would be at least two weeks before I had him and that appointment was two days before I went into labor.

i had a boy my 1st and 2nd pregnancies went early with both i had my 1st at 36 1/2 weeks my 2nd at 37 weeks your 1st baby can come any time from 38 to 42 wks for normal pregs

I carried my first ( a boy ) for just under 43 weeks! Since ive had 2 more boys and they came about 2 or 3 days late. SORRY!!!! But i hope you go early. Good luck.
