The Brewers. Everybody in the pool!! There's plenty of room!!
It seems like year after year since '02, they went younger and younger, hoping to build a contender. With their best stars departing over the years (Sexson, Carlos Lee, Podsednik, Kolb), they stayed strong.
Impressive!

Red Sox had the best record, but the Brewers surprised all with their good play.

The Brewers, yeah, but I also have to add the Red Sox, for bashing the Yankees over and over again.

I like Oxhead's answer. But I will also include my Padres into the mix for the Western division. We may not be doing as well as we would like right now, but those Padres can kick butt any day against anyone.

It is Milwaukee. But don't say no one picked them. Look back. I did. And so did many national writers. But they are a surprise to a lot.
