i think quadratic formula because after works you can use the caculator

Use the quadratic formula, unless the expression only has two terms. I suggest using the quadratic formula because it works for all quadratic equations. Don't waste time trying factoring a quadratic trinomial. Graphing takes as much time as the quadratic equation.

Trial and error is the best of all. Graphing doesn't not work if the roots are imaginary. So you're probably best off using the formula.
