2x^2+5x-3= (2x-1)(x+3)

(2x-1)(x+3)

you could do FOIL to check

First: 2x squared
Outsides: 6x
Insides: -1x
Last: -3

Add both insides and outsides: 5x

2x squared+5x-3 which is correct
