Lamar and Smush have really made a contribution to the Lakers, but as for me I'm still getting over the trade that sent Shaq to Miami. The Lakers were better with the Bryant-O'Neal tandem, and I liked their championship roster (the one with Devean George, Derek Fisher...)

I also liked it when Karl Malone was in the Lakers. You know the Lakers were always a championship team, going back to Magic Johnson's days... even back in the sixties (when only the rich people could afford black-and-white televisions), the Lakers were only behind the Celtics (the latter being rallied to victory by Bob Cousy). And even with Bryant in the Lakers, yes they have the capability to win another NBA ball-and-basket trophy. But they have to continue tweaking the roster to get a higher scoring percentage.

If they can get the Timberwolves to give them Garnett in exchange for Odom and Parker, then sure why not! But if they can't, then settle for the current roster - Odom and Parker are contributing greatly already.

But if they can get Garnett, why not make it a Parker-Odom-Turiaf for Garnett trade? Kevin Garnett can play Center, Forward AND Guard (he's really versatile), and really the only reason the T'Wolves suck is because aside from Garnett, no-one else can rally the T'wolves to go deep into the postseason.

Odom, Parker and Turiaf, too, can contribute much to T'Wolves, if given the chance, and Garnett would add more to the Lakers' beautiful record.

SO, YES, AN ODOM-PARKER FOR GARNETT TRADE WOULD BENEFIT BOTH TEAMS, BUT IF TURIAF WOULD BE TRADED, TOO, THEN IT WOULD BE BETTER.

Smush Parkers contract is expired in the offseason. Lakers wont even re-sign him. Keep Lamar Odom, and trade the others; Kwame Brown, Andrew Bynum, Vlade Radmonovic, Chris Mihm, and their Picks to get Kevin Garnett, or if not veteran consistent players. Lakers shouldn't settle with their young players, thats not what their all about.

i agree i think they need to let those guys go. first lamar is not gonna be a leader. they need to trade both players cuz theyre not really bringing anything to this team. i want to get kevin garnnet or lamar odom. smush can leave he hasnt really done anything to help in the playoffs.

yes to smush, maybe lamar
don't get me wrong i love the lakers, but jordan farmar is going to develop so smush can pack his bags, unless lamar stars playing like he can he can leave too...the should try to get a hustle player and a shooter some one who can play the 2/3 or 3/4 i'm thinking kyle korver and steven hunter

They need to start over, put Lamar on the trading block and see what he's worth, but get rid of everybody except Kobe, Walton, and Bynum.

Yes they should. Both players deserve better than to have Kobe Bryant as a teammate.
