MrsZ-

What's with the "eat a banana... Certified Pharmacy Tech, college graduate, hello?" stuff?

You sound as if it's common knowledge that lacking potassium causes twitching.

It's not.

MrsZ-

OK...I understand. It's cool. Thanks. But the truth is I eat my fair share of bananas anyway. So I'm leaning toward stress as the reason.

Best, GG

Agree that it is most likely just a pinching nerve locally or stress related.
If it gets real annoying or other parts also start twitching...see a neurologist. You wanna make sure its not a seizure!

Oh for Pete's sake...eat a banana! Low potassium is what makes you twitch. Some orange juices have added potassium so get some of that, buy some bananas and have both every day. Try taking a good multivite daily, too.

OMG I didn't mean anything insulting, but I've been blasted for not saying how I know the answer and not giving my source. That area is for entering your SOURCE which for me is college and a medical background. That's what the field is for, ok? So this time I say I'm in the medical field and went to college and I still get blasted. And the "hello?" is a jab at the person that gave me a hard time for not listing my sources. Jeez!!!!!!!!

I have had this problem also, it's just a nerve and it goes away after awhile. Usually starts when I am very nervous.
I will sometimes just hold a warm wet wash rag over the eye to help relax the nerve.

I get eye twitches during times of extreme stress or anxiety.. according to my MD... it's normal... If it last's for a long time... or comes back intermitenly and often.. talk to a doc about it...

It could also be from eye strain...

good luck

When it happens to me its usually an early sign of stress/anxiety......I usually fix it by taking vitamin B complex & slowing my life rhythem a bit & try to chill.

If you've checked your eyes with a dr & it was fine then most likely its stress...........you need to relax :)

nerves or stress probably. not much can relieve it. try drinking a lot of water, it'll make it happen less often.

This could be stress, or possibly you are developing a form of tourettes syndrome.
