If you want to click a link but keep the current window your working on open as well, right click the link and choose the 'open in new tab' option. You could also open a tab manually by clicking on the small tab to the right of the other tabs at the top of the browser screen. A new tab will open and you can use favorites or type a URL to navigate to a new location.

To switch between the various tabs, click the one you'd like to see and it will come to the foreground.

When finished with a tabbed window, you can click the [X] button on the tab.

If you mean quick switching with keyboard, just hold Ctrl and hit tab (much like alt + tab for programs)

Otherwise it's basic.. click on the tab with the mouse lol.
