its still in the system yes, and you need to get maybe "legal aid" near you to help you out- they go by income

Yep case continues. You just go it alone. Not impossible. Be careful if your opponent has an attorney. The judge will usually protect some of your rights under your states law. It is those questionable aspects you may not realize what needs to be done.

You're in kind of a mess because your lawyer has information that may need to be presented in court but your lawyer isn't going to want to just hand that information over. Your lawyer worked to to compile what he/she has and now you're going to dump the laywer. Couldn't some type of payment schedule be arranged? Yes you can contact legal aid but it will be up to YOU to try and get what the lawyer has into the hands of legal aid to help you because without what the lawyer has you're pretty much screwed.
