It's not a precise number I'm afraid, mostly because it isn't a static situation, and secondly at these depths it's hard to be 100 % sure. But the situation is this.

There are two main ocean 'deeps', the Puerto Rico trench close to where I live, this is 27493 feet (8380 meters) deep, that's almost as deep as the highest mountains are high. The other is the Marianas Trench between Japan and the Phillipines ( roughly ) in the Pacific Ocean, this is 36,201 feet ( 11,033 meters ) deep, deeper than the tallest mountain, Mt. Everest is high by over 6,000 ft !

The sponges take up very little space, and thus I doubt that the water level of the seas would go down very noticeably if you took all the sponges out ....... as long as you squeezed out all of the water, that is.

If you took out all the sponges, the ocean would actually be shallower. Every object in the ocean (including sponges and whatever else) is taking up space. If they weren't there, that space would be filled with water. So every object that exists in the ocean is pushing water up and away to make room for itself. Therefore, if you took out all the objects in the ocean, the water level would drop because all the space that used to be taken up by object mass would now be filled with water.

Yeah, I know your question wasn't serious, but I couldn't resist :-P

just as deep probablly because even though they suck it up the fish pee in it so thats got to account for what the sponge sucks up.
