Is not that I don't like Mexican is just that they come to our territory to cause problems.

Everyone has a right to live here, they just have to be an official citizen who is like everyone else. (pays taxes, works, etc.)

1. Mexican people should be legal on the USA because we have to uphold the "Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen" ( should be "Human" instead of "Man" for nowadays ) in the Bill of Rights. Mexicans or people from any other countries should be welcomed into USA, the same as people of US travels to Mexico for fun or doing businesses.

Nobody really knows who is making an honest living ( example: in USA or in Mexico ) and who are not. Even today I can see the locals ( young and old ) still racially discriminate people from other races due to exposure to various media ( one bad apple spoiled the whole bunch ) and lack of proper education. Does anybody knows what are the cause of the problems "started" by the illegal "Mexicans" in the USA in the first place?

Therefore, this is a tough question to have a straight answer.

American government and the Mexican government should continue working on dialogues about immigration more vigorously, not only political agendas. What are neighbors for?

Freedom, to defend the rights and uphold the law: yes, but not a fan of guns, illegal drugs, corruption or disrespect of other cultures.

I guess your question should be more precise if "Mexican people" to be changed to "corrupted people ( locals and foreigners ) that caused a lot of troubles"

The word 'racist' seems to apply to you and your question as it implies a negative stereotype of a group of diverse people. First, as an arrogant racist, it might be important to consider that citizens of Mexico are 'Americans' also - as are citizens of all the countries of North and South America - and that your arrogance of implying that you are a citizen of two continents and those from other countries in the Americas are not real 'Americans' is contempt able.

Second, if you were awake during history you will remember that the USA won its independence from fighting an oppressive government from the English. The reason we did not establish an 'official language' at the time was that English was the language of the oppressor. The French and to a lesser extent the Spanish were the enemies of that oppressive government and our enemy's enemy was our friend and they spoke other languages. The fact that we can write contracts in any language that two people are comfortable with is an advantage of being in the USA - hope narrow-minded people never take that important right away along with those trashed by the Patriot act.

Finally, tacos and burritos are versions of Southwestern food developed in Texas and California - although the word taco has found its way South. So, is there something "unAmerican" about the Southwestern US? Aside from George and Arnold, most of the people seem fine to me.

I should point out that unless you are a native American from one of the tribes of the original peoples, then you are the offspring of immigrants. Do you know for sure that your family came here totally legally? Many did not come by legal channels over the course of US history and unless you have your ancestors' paperwork, better be careful of who you call illegal!

Oh boy, it's comments like this that tickes everyone off. Firstly they should be legal, employed and not on the free dole. Once they have earned the right to be an American by learning to speak the language and be a good citizen then they have earned the right to a better life than they could ever have in Mexico. I don't blame anyone for wanting to better themselves if that is what they come here for and not just the freebies they can get. I think our government should stop all the freebies untill they have proved they are worthy tax paying citizens for at least 5 years.

They should have to be legal just like any other foriegner who comes to the US. And I am not prejudiced on the issue. My nephew by marriage was deported to Mexico. As for Mexicans mostly being drunks, not so! The ones I know are hard working and send a majority of their money back to their families in Mexico.

They shouldn't be illegal, 'cause they are not all bad. That is just an opinon formed, perhaps because of the majority of them are not giving a good example. I have an acquaintance who is Mexican and he is in the USA because he wants to earn a degree and become a biologist. That is not being a bum or a drunk.

Hmmmm..
This goes back to the Q....Who are the Americans?
Why should you make a race 'Illegal'? I disagree with u about getting drunk and causing accidents also! Wow, never thought of them that way!
They have a right to be Legal citizens....just like u and me!
**Oh! I agree with 'me' above....those who come Legally should stay legal. Those who come Illegally should remain Illegal !

I have lived in California and have the privilege of meeting people who are decent and work hard for what they have. My husband was in the Air Force and we lived in Anderson Air Force Base, where we met a load of people and the relatives who held many jobs to feed their families. 1975 a family of 11, that share their house, food, welcomed us with open arms to family events and they were illegal. The jobs that they held nobody that was white, korean, or other ethnicity wanted and they were greatful for the opportunity to earn money. Don't judge the worst that you see, there's a lot of decent hard working people, but the ones that shine are the ones that are in the news. They should be legalized after a period of time. Not all bums are created equal.

If they are here legally - then welcome.
But anyone from any country who sneaks through our borders is illegal and should be deported. They need to immigrate through the proper channels like everyone else.
And yes, it is true that illegal Mexicans have some terrible accidents. There was one in our area not long ago where a drunk illegal alien killed a Marine and his date, it was so sad. And the imbeciles in state government here gave this guy a US license! They should be locked up!

Actually, I have NO problem with Mexican citizens who come here legally, get a visa, and work legally. I have a problem with the ones who sneak over here and then apply for welfare. Most of my current neighbors, and quite a few of my friends are of Latin descent, and I like them a lot. But they're also here legally. That is the real difference: they made the effort to follow the rules and they deserve to be here.
