The light was flashing fast, It was making a weired noise and the pooffff!!! A little balck cloud came out the back of my p.c.

It doesnt smell. I took it apart and it looks fine. Now i plug it in and it makes a little bzzing noise. The lights and the fan isnt working.

Sounds like a classic power supply failure to me.

You can get a little thing called a power supply tester (under $20 at any computer store) to find out for sure before you replace it.

It sounds like the power supply and I have seen this in a lot of computers. The best way to tell for sure is to smell for a foul burnt smell near the back of the power supply. Most of the time the capacitors fail and explode.

Power supply unit is cheap. Just replace it. Do not risk toasting the expensive components of your PC.

I've burned up so many power supplys My last one didn't smell either but it was defective. I buy cases with 300watt ps in them. I build computers.

You have blown a capacitor in the power supply.

That's all it could be.

smell the power supply, also when you open it it will be everything black.
