Aside all the myths, recurtions and jokes [above], in reality fear has no smell. It is, however said that when you "smell" fear, it is more of a sense.

The actual smell [if you do smell something] is probably a smell you once smeeled as a child, at a time where you were scared. This smell gets attached to "fright" and your brain stimulates to the feeling, bringing the smell back to you. This is how dogs and othere naturally wild animals "smell" your fear.

Hope this helps

Something odd and it has a foul smell. Have you really smelled it? Or are you joking? It has an odor. Most people attach a frightening odor from their first childhood experience but others actually experience something new and overwhelming. It's not a joke to those who smell it and those who especially Feel it.

I once entered a building where someone left raw chicken in an open bag on the floor over the weekend. That was pretty scary.

My girlfriend...
just kidding.

Kind of smells like milk after its been spoiled, and then a guy farted in it right after he stuffed a dead animal in it.

In other words...smells rather good.
