because they would rather keep their money, or give it to the chairities of their choice than give it to the government to spend on programs that they dont agree with,

Hmmm, no self made....... Well I'm no Bill Gates but when I was a kid we did not have running water for about 3 years. I saw my first color TV when I was around 13. I could not play football because we did not have the gas money to pick me up after practice. I saw my first movie around age 14, Herbie the Love Bug as I recall. For Christmas one year I got 2 tires. Now I make 6 figures. I have 2 homes. No one handed me anything.

Another point. We had years of Clinton, before that we had Carter. We have had a democrat controlled house and sentate for over 80% of the last 50 years and what have they done to get people ahead?

The only thing liberals can CLAIM is that they tax the rich and give to the poor. What have the ACTUALLY DONE??? Please, tell me. Quit WHINING about the republicans and tell me what the Democrats have REALLY done??

You diagnosis piece is a shaggy dog tale. "center-type households could be hit particularly no longer elementary via a organisation intake tax." He(Ryan) if truth be told proposes a VAT tax. the author skill that company earnings tax isnt surpassed or conpensated for directly to the patron and in straightforward terms a VAT tax is, in straightforward terms a moron could have self assurance that. So the 1st sentance isn't actual. On precise of that the completed starategy out of your element is "Tax the wealthy", lol. you dont think of which would be surpassed on? Why do you hate the middle type? for sure this could influence them a similar way as a VAT tax will. Gleaning the different ones, particularly some the are patently bunk. I even have greater proper issues to do than flow element via element and rip the author of this biased cr@p heap aside on the seams. It could desire to be tiresome to consistently be misled because you dont seem at any of the information being provided to you with a watch to work out that it comes from a authentic foundation. So I cant answer your question because its premise is a lie.

I wondered about this also!!! But you must remember, there are a lot of democrats who, like republicans, are oriented to being wealthy and conservative. So in the end, it's not a black and white issue, there are a lot of grey areas. Republicans have this image of being the ones who run the businesses that create the wealth for the rest of us. Hence, they have a lot of supporters. But along with this image comes the burden of fiscal responsibility. Because the current republican administration has become apparently fiscally unconservative and managed to eliminate a huge surplus created during the Clinton years, a lot of their supporters have left and now support democrats. But why more don't support the democrats is also beyond me. I suspect they don't want the democrats to become too powerful either. I've been registered as a democrat and I've been registered as a republican and I've found that, after looking at both sides of the coin, there's not a lot of difference between either side. Both sides seem to have their own "traditional" image, but both sides also have the capability to use whatever means necessary to become the elected majority. This has led to more and more people leaving either party and becoming "independent".

You really must be delusional or simply ignorant about politics, economics and freedom.

No one has given me anything. I have worked for what I have and worked hard for it.

Anyone who has ambition and makes good decisions in their lives can accomplish just about anything. If you want to sit at home and be bum don't blame someone else and don't ever think government can help or should help in your personal success.

The federal government only has a few powers granted to it by the Constitution and all other powers are given to the states (ie, the people). People grant the government power and not the other way around.

The larger government gets & the more it taxes, the less freedom we all have.

It's truly a mystery why so many people have no clue about our great nation, its' Constitution, its' history and current events.

Poor and middle class may support republicans for other reasons than money issues. Remember they are poor and not money hungry. How about religion and conservative views?

I'm a democrate and don't know why anyone wants to support Bush. He's a crazy cowboy that has turned the world on the USA. We need to be a humble country that helps the world, not a country that tells everyone what to do regardless of other country's views..

Could it be that they understand Republicans do more for the public than run their mouths like the democrats? I think so. Most dumycrats talk up a storm but seem to run and hide like they are trying to get the US to do in Iraq. Bush did mess up in Iraq but that does not justify surrender.

Any one who does not support socialism supports any other party but the democratic one. Let freedom decide.

Because we don't intend to remain the working poor/middle class. I'd much rather work towards bettering myself and my family than support every socialist program the left can dream up.

so they have to pay less taxes,

yes, the taxes go into helping the community, but there's a good chance it won't be used for their benefit
