I am the new bookkeeper for an LLC that owns a gas station with convenience store in Illinois. Can anyone direct me to a resource where I can learn how to prepare the monthly sales tax return?

The best suggestion that I can make, short of hiring an accountant, is to contact the State of Illinois' Department of Revenue and ask questions.

I would also suggest that you look at the form, one line at a time. It might be more helpful than you realize.
