www.ancestry.com has a living people locator. It gives you addresses and and in some cases phone numbers. I have hooked up with several relatives this way.
Good luck! Jen

I would try internet venues first. . Myspace, Cherrytap and places like that. . . I am not sure if you can go to a Social Security office and get info on someone. . Do you know the ex's where-abouts or does he have any family or friends in your area? Sounds like you'll have to do some of your own detective work! But, it seems to me that the child support system should be able to fine him. . They found my boyfriend & started sending child support papers to my parents address where we were living at the time. I would suggest talking to someone different within the system! Good luck hun!

The state you live in can usually locate a person through their
work by their social security number. If it is a court ordered support payment, the court can order it traced. If the ex does not work, it is much harder, but someone knows where he is.
Check the White Pages for an address. Good luck.

Sorry but what you wrote does not make sense. If you know where he lives and works, how can he be unlocatable? Tell the Child Support Agency his address and employer and they should be able to enforce your order. Give them a phone number and photo if you have it. His car make and license number if you have it. Name of people he lives with. They ought to be able to track him down...don't know how hard they are trying though. If push comes to shove, call the State Child Support Office and complain about your local office...a call to the Governor's Hotline always works wonders and your local Senator really gets them on the stick.

Sometimes it's as simple as googling a person's name honey. If you've tried that, do this. Send a letter to his last known address. On the envelope, write forwarding address requested. When it comes back from that address with the new address on it, do the same thing all over again with the new address. It's tedious, but it's effective and eventually you are going to end up with his current address. See, when people move, no matter where they go, they always receive mail. It's the one thing a person never thinks about if they don't want to be found.

Check out the enforcement agency Support Kids. www.supportkids.com is the URL. Or you can call them toll free at 1-691-KIDS. They have a very good track record and are part of the better business bureau. Their associates are very well informed and knowledgeable about this area of law.

Find a local private investigator. Use word of mouth recommendation...ask a cop that you know to give you a recommendation. Around here, the best PI's are retired cops, and they still have their law connections, and will be able to find your ex in 35 seconds.

Try to get his driver's license info or SS number from your local Social Security office--let them know the situation and see what happens.
