And this is just Answers. Even Barak's wife has mentioned on the record how frightened she is of never-ending attempts on the the life of first black president. In Answers, the racists and the amount of hatred they have -- can you imagine what would crawl out from under a rock, confab, conspire, organize to alleviate a black presidency? I'm really curious to your thoughts on this. Personally, I don't think he would make it for the four years. Just experiencing Answers shows me racism and bigotry is alive and burgeoning in the U.S. What do you think?

Have not read Obama autobiography.
In the state of IN, is one of the largest concentrations of racist militias in the country, less alone plain old individuals. I also think Obama would unite the country, but just like here in Answers, a bullet has no color. It's also anonymous, hiding behind a black cold steel barrel of a coward. Remember this also -- Obama's wife is on record stating her fear. God Bless.

America is ready for a change. I'm with him provided his
religion is not Islam and he swears in on the Holy Bible.

The Whitehouse needs a graceful First Lady and I believe Obama wife would be graceful in a beautiful hat.
We haven't had a graceful First Lady since Jackie Kennedy. And lord do we ever need a new president and vice president, honorable with good intentions for the American people. And not to waste the taxpayer's money.

I can't see where his race has anything to do with his ability to do the job. If people cannot see past this, then they need serious help.

Well personally, i don't think he will even make it through primaries because he hasn't got enough experience under his belt we don't the white house to be training ground for presidency. BUT, if he does it will continue to divide the country, because of people like sharpton. not only sharpton but also Obama's church, which presses the advancement of only the black race. but lets not for get about the white racist as well who don't what this at all. So no America is not ready, with racism stem from more than one side, this can be dangerous territory and civil war could develop easily. But if Obama could appeal to both races and not associate himself with racist of any kind(or race) with this he could really pull it off.

Unfortunately racism and sexism are still alive and well today in America. I fear that if Obama or Clinton win the candidacy we'll be stuck with another Republican (who will be white and male). Maybe they would have a better chance if one chose the other as a running mate. I agree with you that a black president's life, sadly, would be in much more danger than a white president's.

Any President of the US is the object of assassination attempts. The Secret Service is entirely used to this. If he is elected, I don't think he will be in any more danger than Bush; which is to say, still in greater danger than most of us!
There may be racists on YA, but I'm pretty sure some of them are trolls; just trying to get a reaction. YA is anonymous, so they can just indulge themselves.
And if I may say so, the actual decrease in real racism (I certainly see plenty of mixed couples dating...) is accompanied by a decreased tolerance for racial whining and forced "PC" language.

I'm all for him or Hillary or both together. If Bush made it this long and is still there; the Secret Service must be really good. I think the 2 of them would turn this country around. A black man and a woman in the White House would send him back to the bottle. And back to Texas!

#1, Obama isnt ready to be president. He needs a lot more experience first.
#2, There are racists, but Obama will need to be stronger than that. See #1.
#3, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are doing their level best to keep racism going. Its their bread and butter. They have set equality back 50 years.

From personal observation: Blacks are the biggest racists on the planet. Ditch the ridiculous hyper-sensitivity and things will be much better.

It's not that the skin color or rascism it's his connection to Islam. To heck with PC(political correctness) we would be putting our Constitution in even more jeopardy than it is already. Before you react have you read 'Dreams From My Father' the autobiography of B Obama?
