No one can access something on your hard drive unless you have made the folder or file shared. You should be more concerned with someone putting a virus infected file into your shared directory.....

It's quite safe to have a shared folder. However, it's not safe to click anything from anyone in those shared folders. Especially files with *.exe attributes. So just be careful of what files you receive and click. Some files you receive might be malicious and be a trojan file. But as long as you don't click on those Trojans, you're safe. If you worry about hackers, they usually don't go in through shared folders, they prefer open ports on your computer. Now, that's a different kind of story ;)

Yes, they can access your hard drive; however, only the stuff that is in your shared folder.

Is it safe? Who knows. It's supposed to be safe, but we've heard that before from Microsoft...

oftentimes the amd64 refers back to the style of processor in a working laptop or pc. amd or progressed micro contraptions is largely a sort of processor a working laptop or pc makes use of and the data interior the folder might contain the processor settings so i does no longer delete them. As for the i386 i'm guessing it refers back to the form of an intel chip. My Hp pc has the comparable folder in it because of the fact it runs from a pentium processor. in case you are able to no longer get right of entry to those data this is probably because of the fact those folders contain delicate documents from the two products pronounced above

Anything someone places in that folder must be treated as suspicious, people will dump all types of virus, spyware etc. Otherwise there is no risk.
