Maybe raise the margin to 60-70% versus a simple majority. This would keep them responsive to the public versus 2nd term presidents that a to stubborn and represent what they think is best vs. what the american public thinks is best.

In my opinion a President should be able to serve as many terms as he can get elected for. It would be nice if we could get more than 30% of the public to vote,so we actually had someone everyone wanted though. Then again in a recent pew research poll,32% of the people did not know who the vice president was,and around 30% also did not know who the governor of their own state was,so clearly we might want to consider making sure some people don't vote. With all the demonizing of the man what kind of freaking cave do you have to live in to not know who the current VP is?

I think that the president should be president until his death like kings. I think that 4 or 8 years is not enough time to get it "right". It takes about 3 years just to fix all the stuff that the former president messed up. We would just have to be careful who we elect. & if he or she did not preform well we would just have to have an uprising!!! If it was a good leader then by leaving them in the office we would probably avoid a lot of wars because they would have had time to form strong alliances, and gain trust from other countries that would not have to worry about the next president changing form or backing out on deals.

I think we should at least be consistent. Congressmen can run for reelection as many times as they wish. We should either have term limits that apply to every one or we should allow everyone to run for reelection as many times as they wish.

My personal opinion is that term limits should apply to all politicians every where. But if we are going to let Congressmen run indefinitely then we should let the President run indefinitely. But that would make sense and making sense in this country is never popular.

I think we should have a one term of six years. So instead of him or her having to run for reelection, they could keep running the country

I would support that, if we could rid Washington of all PACS and return it to the common vote.
