It depends on the situation.

I've been in situations where I asked myself how I'd look back at myself (being a quitter) someday in the future, say 2 or 5 or even 10 years from now. And then I think that time will pass anyway, whether I quit or not.

When I get to THAT point, I stop, take a break for a few minutes. Stretch, do some quick aerobics, and go back at it again. For me it is keying numbers, lots of numbers, into a computer. I cannot do it non stop all day without taking several 1-3 minutes stretch breaks. The work gets done, and I do not go home freaked out.

There are a few different things:
1. I have two choices, keep going or curl up and die. I'm not ready for number two just yet.
2. The Good Lord (Jesus) has kept looking after me this long and he's not going to stop now.
3. My niece and nephew and my mom and other people who love me and think I'm actually good for something.

For me I thinks its an ego thing. Like, if I start something and then quit when it gets tough, I feel like I've lost, and I do not loose! (If I can help it) Sometimes you do just end up ****** though, and then eventhough you hate to do it, a wise man cuts his loses, goes to lick his wounds and lives to fight another day. But damn that still sucks, admiting failure or defeat is a real *****!
