Wow, I just had this problem. At the WIC office, they told me that they shouldn't have more than 3 servings of dairy a day. So that's like 3 8 oz. sippy cups. But you have to figure in the dairy they eat in food also, such as cheese, yogurt, etc. So basically I would say 2 sippy cups a day. I give my daughter a 6 oz. cup with her breakfast and a 6 oz. cup before bed.

You should serve the Milk in a cup, usually kids love cow's milk but if she does not like it add a banana inside and turn it into a milkshake. You don't really need to calculate the oz's anymore. AT least 3 cups of milk would be good, try also not to overdue it cuz she could constipate.

Your baby should be drinking between 16-24 ozs. of milk daily. It's important that they not drink too much milk, because they will not have an appetite for solid table food. Your baby needs a well rounded diet.

At a year old she should be able to have as much as she wants as long as the cows milk is agreeing with her. She should be eating a lot of table foods by now so she shouldn`t be drink a lot of milk. Actually you should be weaning her from the bottle all together. Try her on a sippy cup.

my 12 month isnt weaned fron her bottles yet-but gets whole milk now- she is down to 4 bottles(5 oz ea.) a day. i also give her a sippy cup of water to play with. my goal is to wean her more from her bottles, and then just give her no more than 24 oz. of milk a day and if she is still thirsty i will offer her water. no juice at all. i hope to have her only taking sippy cups, also.

Our Pedi said 16 ounces a day. My son just turned 1 too and he's 23 pounds, and 30 inches tall. I don't think the size of the child matters that much though.
