> "why don't humans have tails every other living creature does."

Not true.

Chimpanzees don't have tails. Gorillas don't have tails. Orangutans don't have tails. Gibbons don't have tails. Siamangs don't have tails.

In short, all apes lack tails. (That's perhaps the main thing that distinguishes apes from monkeys.)

Humans are apes.

We have vestigial tails. Natural selection usually selects out traits that serve no purpose. After all, a tail would serve no purpose for mammals that weigh 120-190 lbs and have two hands does it? It certainly wouldn't be able help you climb. You don't really need it for balance. Humans can walk, run, dance, do flips, swim, etc...without tails.
Still, it would be darn cool to have an extra appendage. My God how the women would accessorize it.

People do have a tail. It is a bunch of small bones at the base of your spine called the coccyx. It is under your skin so you don't realize that vestigial stub is actually there.

And apes have them too, in the same hidden way.

Babies are born with tails that are surgically removed. Just as babies are born with both genitalia
