I am a magician, so ever since I saw David Blaine's Drowned Alive stunt, I have been training for my own breath hold stunt. I have been training for nearly a year now, and I can hold my breath UNDERWATER for several minutes on average. My best time was 4:29. How long can you hold for?

2 minutes 30 seconds. I'm amazed you've held it for 4:29. Most people will be unconcious at 4:00, and dead shortly thereafter, but I know some people can do it.

adult males can no longer carry there breath longer then us females. some adult males can.some can't. some females can.some females can't. i extremely be conscious of this because of being a swimmer for 7 years. It relies upon on how sturdy there lungs are and how a lot they practice there breath retaining. Onestly. Take spriters. They swim basically 0.5 the pool and basically take a million breath. They swim a one hundred (down and back 2 circumstances) and take 50 breaths. for this reason they are spriters because they could basically flow so long without air and they decelerate each and each and every breath. Distence swimmers. They swim basically 0.5 the pool and take no breaths. They swim a one hundred (down and back 2 circumstances) and Take 10. Hopes this enables! O through how, i'm a woman that would want to carry her breath a million-2 minutes Ha lol :P

My best was around 3:00, but that was also 10 years ago!!

Now, I doubt I could even go for a full minute.

Back then I was a diver though, so that had to help. I was always paranoid that my O2 would run out, so I would practice holding my breath daily.

I'm 57 years old. I would not want to test how long I can hold my breath, because I don't want to cause a heart attack. When I was about 17, I took a stopwatch and timed how long I could hold my breath. Two minutes.
