This is an exercise in combining like terms.

7y is one term, and 4 and 20 are like terms
So the answer is 7y + 20 + 4, or 7y + 24

5x - 3x = 2x and add the 8

5n - 8n - 3n is -6n ; 6 - 2 is 4. Combine these for the answer.

The next one you figure the n's. The last part is 3.14 - 1.57, or 1.57

1.4x - 2.5x for first part (do the subtraction) ; 9 + 0.6 for second part (do the addition).

Combine all "d" terms, which will be NEGATIVE, then 2a -(-6a) will be POSITIVE. (Remember how signs work)
