How old are you, five? I seriously doubt that anyone has ever said that a miscarriage is "no big deal". It's the death of a baby - of course it's a big deal!! Not only is it usually extremely painful, but the emotional loss is overwhelming. What kind of heartless people are you talking to?

Praise the Lord that I've never had a miscarriage, but YES it is a big deal. You just lost a child that you are carrying. For some women, it may be that they have an underlying medical issue, and may never be able to carry a child.
"What are the symptoms of a miscarriage?
Cramping and vaginal bleeding are the most common symptoms noticed with spontaneous abortion. The cramping and bleeding may be very mild, moderate, or severe. There is no particular pattern as to how long the symptoms will last.
Vaginal bleeding during early pregnancy is often referred to as a "threatened abortion." The term "threatened" abortion is used since miscarriage does not always follow vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy, even after repeated episodes or large amounts of bleeding. Studies have shown that 90-96% of pregnancies with fetal cardiac activity that result in vaginal bleeding at 7 to 11 weeks of gestation will result in an ongoing pregnancy."

Miscarriage is a traumatic experience for any woman who wants to become a mother so bad in the worse way. Miscarriage is spontaneous abortion as opposed to deliberate abortion or the termination of pregnancy prior to 20 wks; up to the 5th month. . Uterine contractions come first followed by heavy vaginal bleeding and then the fetus is expelled. There are many causes of miscarriages; However; most; are not planned.
.
I'm sure abortion is the topic that you hear women talk like it's nothing. Abortion is usually planned. such as in unwanted pregnancy.
Miscarriage is not as devastating as stillbrths. Stillbirth is the normal delivery of a dead baby. But it still is traumatic and dissapointing. the fetus in miscarriage is not viable. In other words, the baby is not capable of surviving outside of the uterus.

Usually a miscarriage is associated with heavy bleeding, passing large chunks of tissue, and excruciating cramping. It is always best to be checked by a professional if you think you are having or had a miscarriage because in some cases if a dnc is not preformed, you could end up with a severe infection.
Hope this helps.

I had a miscarriage at 24.5 weeks along. I had a lot of cramping and a small amount of spotting(in the begining).
A lot of women have miscarriages and don't even know it. Usually because they not very far along. They might think they are just having an unusally heavy period. I think that miscarriage in early stages of pregnancy are semi common, but usually when you get to your 2nd trimester the risk is smaller. In my case, the cord wrapped around the baby's neck, her cord was too long.

a miscarriage can be very troublesome-and painful.
Usually a miscarriage requires a DNC a medical procedure to ensure that all the tissue has been removed and that the infection ( if there is one can be quickly stopped) there are mental health ramifications that need to be dealt with also. Always seek medical help if you think you have had a miscarriage

If you have an early miscarriage, chances are you won't know. I didn't know until I went to my doctor. It didn't hurt and just felt like a heavy period.
Miscarriages are tough when you're trying to conceive. The further you are, the more pain you're going to feel. You finally know that you're pregnant and then you lose this being that you have developed a love for, and...it hurts.

You will know if you have one, lots of blood and pain (sometimes). It's a big deal for some people, because they have been trying to have a baby then they lose it. Others obviously just don't care.
You will usually have a miscarriage if there is something wrong with the baby.
