I am convinced American democracy has failed. WE have sunk so low that all that matters to many is liberal/conservative, democrat/republican, etc. We no longer take them time to listen to what anyone else has got to say, we just determine whether they are of the same political affliation, and if they aren't then we automatically disagree with them. Read this and you will see what I mean:

Is it time for a dictator so we don't have to deal with this or is there any other way we can remove this blatant stupidity for our political system?

This question is not directed against any political affliation, so please do not bash.

Great question.

I'll pull from Plato's Republic and turn to the devolution of our perfect city in thought.

Things come in cycles, and democracy is not the best form of government, but it is certainly not the worst. What you are saying is interestingly enough what Socrates mentioned in the Republic. The mind of the democratic man sees these things, these people indulging in their desires and wants justice. Or he sees people indulging in things and wants them for himself.

You question is, "is it time," and to that I would answer. No. The stage is not set correctly, if you will. Would a strong dose of despot knock a good many Americans back into what is supposed to be a sense of freedom and majority rule? Absolutey.

To replace this, what I will call, "stupidity of polarization" the general apathetic attitude of American politics must be removed. How to accomplish this would take time and deliberation (irony, no?) and a definitive answer would be incredibly naive for me to give.

No, now is not the time for a dictator. You bring up a strong point, and one that should definitley be considered. Are we so sick of such polarization that tyranny and someone telling everyone how to think and act would bring security of some sort? A very tough question indeed...

Bests to you, Peace.

You darn straight it is time for a dictator and I am the man for the job. When I am dictator the first thing I intend to do is put you away for about 90 years. I gotta get rid of these pesky noisy college types

this question is anti-Semitic and could probable be reported, yet i'm going to throw in my 2 cents till then. Moses became into chosen via God to steer the Isrealites out of slavery. He became right into a reluctant chief, he did no longer want the pastime. With the uncommon exception, each thing that Moses did became into by using fact the Lord advised him to. Hitler became into an apostate Catholic atheist that killed thousands and thousands of human beings out of paranoia and bigotry. He greedily sought means and killed people who have been given in his way. in case you are able to not see a difference between Hitler and between the main extreme Jewish patriarchs...you have extreme problems. My question is what's the difference between Hitler and somebody who hates the Jewish faith as much as you do? extra Moses disliked Jews? it is why he led them out of slavery from Egypt and served them with each fiber of his being till the day he died. Your logic is mistaken. it is insulting to a community of people who suffered close to extinction on the palms of Hitler, the guy you evaluate their religious father to. you have a twisted experience of entitlement. the cyber web could have given you a talk board to declare what ever you like, yet common experience has failed you as to whilst and how you show your self. next you would be evaluating Martin Luther King Jr. to Nathan Bedford Forrest. extra Anti-Catholic? You for sure don't be attentive to the meaning of "apostate". good attempt nevertheless.

Any system will fail if there are people determined to make it fail. And there are.
