I worked in an intimate apparel store, selling bras and hosiery. It was an Outlet type store and bus loads of women from New York City would come in (in the summer on a bus with no a/c) and INSIST that I fit them for bras...under their shirts. Not the very cleanest and fresh smelling women...most of them didn't even shave their pits...it was quite nasty.

I lasted 6 weeks before I called my old boss and BEGGED them to take me back. I called them on my lunch break, after crying in my sandwich. Thankfully, they took me back.

Workin' at my dad's business growing up. It really sucked. I hated it so bad that I didn't pay any attention to what was going on, just did what I had to do to get through the day. There are some things I wish I knew from that time, but I don't, so too bad.
It really sucked though, cuz he was a slave driver -- even to his regular employees -- I am so glad that is all over now!!

I worked at Pet Supplies Plus for minimum wage. It was pretty sad having to watch people buy hamsters and fish knowing that they wouldn't be well-cared for. My boss hated me and never noticed that I worked my butt off. After putting in a year of hard work, I only got a 25¢ raise! I was so pissed that I quit without notice.

Mine was delivering Canada Dry to grocery stores.
The distributor had awful trucks.
The drinks were in wood crates, 4 packs of bottles per crate.
The bottom would fall out of the crates and the bottles would explode all over the parking lot of the grocery store.
In the stores, they gave you a 2 ft. wide space to put 6 different kinds of drinks into. The sales rep did the orders.
You pushed Canada Dry behind everything!!

At middle age, I took a paper route. I had to get up at 4:30 in the morning and deliver papers in the dark! I didn't last too long on that one! I don't know WHAT I was thinking!

Feces cleanup at the park and streets. You won't believe the kind of stuff I find in those steaming mounds. There's corn, bones, and bean chunks inside. Sometimes, they're a variety of colors. I've seen a lot of red ones lately...They need to cut down on the Hot-Cheetos.
