i have a 97 cadillac dev and it is leaking antifreeze the bottle that holds the antifreeze is on the left side but the leak is coming on the right side what could that be and what would the worst case senario be far as cost

you can repair yourself use glue.

Well if the bottle is on the other side eliminate that as a possible source.
I agree with the gent that suggested the radiator or a hose.
Run the engine and open the hood.. look for a leak or a steady wet spot. Then turn off the engine, wipe the part try and see if it re-wets.
If it is a hose, replace it immediately. A blown hose won't cause an immediate problem, but can cause the engine to overheat and crack.
Worst case: New Radiator.. around $300 or so at a radiator shop (around $600 at a dealer).

The best bet is to replace the bottle. A junkyard will have this part inexpensively, about $20 to $40. The dealer is the only other option and they will cost a lot more. Try www.car-part.com. Do not try and seal this bottle. If it's under pressure it's guaranteed to leak.

Well,from what you are saying it sounds like a radiator,but it might very well be loose connection or top or bottom radiator hose? The best way would be to do a coolant pressure test and it should show immediately where the leak is!

the right side,you say? maybe its the water pump,the top hose or a freeze plug.
