Yeah...why spend all that money fighting the good fight over there when we can nuke the whole region and start over?!

Ok, hypothetically, lets say we spent our money somewhere else, and not fight this "war on terror". After 9/11, Americans from all over stick there heads in the sand instead of doing what we are now. We build a transcontinental bullet train that goes from New York City to San Francisco in say...ten hours...Then a situation develops like the one that happened in Spain a couple of years ago. A terrorist smuggles a bomb, inside a backpack, on board this new train of ours that we just spent a trillion dollars on. 400 people are dead, and at least a trillion dollars is lost, all in a single moment. What then? Was a money better spent somewhere else? I think not.

No. It would have been better invested by the people who made it originally, the American worker. Income tax is theft, and "awesome" rail systems be damned, I want to be able to keep what I earn.

Oh yeah, or we could have dumped in the same welfare toilet that has already cost many more trillions and yet to accomplish anything. Yeah, that's the ticket.

A rail system for the terrorists to blow up? You're not thinking this through. Nothing matters if you're dead.......nothing.

Sure, just look at what a great investment Amtrak has been! Why not another big dig while we're at it.

That would of been great but that wouldn't benefit Bush who has oil interests and Cheney who has military interests. Why improve the world when republicans can destroy it using the taxpayers money.
