I you were to use Magick to "get back" you would be "gotten back" by your own actions. Karma is a completely different discipline.

If I had magical powers the first person I would get back would be Bush but at least I would make it fast and I have to do at least one good thing.

Like super magical powers? Or just neato stuff? I guess it doesn't matter. There are many people that I wish I didn't have to deal with, and those that I'm glad I no longer have to. However, I don't really feel the need to 'get back' at anybody.
At least I would be able to do more to help myself and others (as long as I can keep my powers a secret! I'm stingy like that). It really does depend on what kind of powers we're talkin. I suppose I'm thinking super hero type jazz.

I am happy with the power i have thanks.
And i would never use them to get back at 'anyone',control them, or harm them.
Bearing in mind the wiccan rede:: "An it harm none,Do what thou will".
Plus what you send out comes back threefold uh oh !!!!!
