she will do what she feels best if she becomes president. I don't really care. I hope she does not win. She may be smart, but she is a slow talker and she is wishy washy and she is sometimes phony.

It is my understanding that the Congress determines taxes. The President just proposes tax plans for the Congress to consider. So, no, if she becomes President, she will not raise taxes.

God, I hope so. Many people hear "raise taxes" and immediately freak out without bothering to ask three important questions: 1. Who's being taxed? (hopefully anyone making over $1,000,000.00 per year). 2. How much? (hopefully 70% on income, capital gains and estate). 3. Where does that tax money go. (hopefully toward national and international education programs in critical thinking, responsible reproduction and consumption and stabilization of governments. Does that scare you? Do you make over $1,000,000.00 per year?

I hope she does become President. We seem to have acquired a little debt. First she will have to assess the damage, determine a strategy then ask for a fair and just tax increase.

I hope so.
If you look at the multi-trillion dollar national deficit, and note that people under forty will probably never get social security when they retire, thinking you can cut taxes and things get better is stupid. You'd be smart to look past the little bit of extra money it will cost you. I'm not saying I like higher taxes, but personally, I'd like to retire when my time comes.

Maybe. Or the next prez can just continue to spend the US dollar value into oblivion like Bush is doing.

Will the next prez lower Bush's enormous deficit is the real question.

She could not raise taxes on her own. She would need the help of the House and the Senate.

The president doesn't have that power. It will be her liberal friends in congress that does the tax raising.

You may not know much about what she may do, but one thing is certain for any democrat if they win. They always, always, always raise taxes.
