Been there, it's kind of like the dreaded Monday morning after a long weekend. Plus with the family illness some depression has probably set in. Going to work will be the best thing for you...time to get on with life. Within a few days of returning to work and getting back into the routine...you'll hopefully feel much better.

I'm sorry to hear about your family illness, however you may want to turn the negative into a positive. If you are now back at work I presume the family illness is now OK. You can motivate yourself by thinking I have my health to be able to go to work.
I'm sure they are many people who would like to be in your position and have their health to be able to do what we take for granted.
If it's a case you don't like your job, start looking for another one. Once again you have your heath to go out and find a new job. Nothing is impossible when you put your mind to it.
When you wake up in the morning it's a new day, a new opportunity to do something you want to do with your life. Don't sit back feeling sorry for yourself. Instead be happy and thankful for what you do have and what gifts you possess and use those gifts to help others who are not as well off as you.
Remember your health is number one. It's priceless, nothing can replace it. Try to think on those lines and it will go a long way into turning your life around.
Good Luck x

whether you love or hate your job, everyone begins to feel rested and spoiled from a vacation etc. Of course youd dislike going back to the regular 9-5, but give it a few days, youll fall back in and your body/mind will adjust. Everyone feels this. I loooove my job, but I also love vacation and of course ill dread being tied to the 9-5. But Ill get over it.
And if you are really unhappy about what your job is, well...browse craigslist, papers, etc and see whats being offered out there. You just might find something surprising.
Hope it helped. Good luck with your situation.

Well find reasons why you need to go to work. Like to pay the rent for your house or apartment or wherever you live, so you don't get evicted. Also how would you pay other bills and go shopping with no money. So you need to work. Just go maybe it will be a relief to get back to what your used to and not have so much stress.. and if you have friends at work thats even better! Just go, you'll be fine. Drink coffee or tea too, it should relax you. Or Chai will. There all super good. Good luck! =]

It is very hard to get back into a work routine after being off, just think of it as something that has to be done...you need a job to support yourself and family and it keeps you busy and out of the house...the thought of going back is the worst part once you're there you'll be ok and get back into the swing of it fairly quickly

It's such a common problem, so you are by no means alone ! Even going back to something you enjoy can be a stressor, as we get used even to less pleasant routines. Someone has said the only people who LIKE a change are wet/dirty babies. Once you've actually taken the plunge you should start to feel better !

It is always hard to return to work after a break, even after holidays. You just look to the fact that you have to work, whilst you can, and put your head down and go for it. Good luck, this lethargy will pass after the first day back

Well, if you don't go to work then you will possibly lose your job.
Also, sometimes getting back in your routine is a good way to make you feel better.
Remember your bigger picture.
You got to do what you got to do.
