My boys use a slip and slide too, we always put a heavy duty tarp under it truly protects the grass.

I have two.

1) You could see about seeding your yard with a kind of grass that will spring back after being flattened.

2) You might consider building an area with sand that you can use your slip'n'slide on- but make sure to fence it too.

Good luck!

the grass should go right back to normal after it dries back up (from the water). It really shouldn't be a problem.
