Tolls are bulls--t, why do we pay extra for petrol, remember the 3x3 thing on all the signs some years back. I'd rather pay an extra $5.00 and go the long way around via the Gladsville bridge rather than contibute to organised crime.(private road and toll operators).

My suggestion is to pick up your phone right now and ring them and tell them you made a mistake.
They will send you out a bill if you don't. You could offer to pay the $2.50 extra instead of the fine you will probably recieve.
I also suggest you get on of those automatic toll chargers. When you go through the toll gates it beeps and then you can actually claim the money back that you have payed each time you go through the toll.
Seriously you should ring them, just be honest. I'm sure it's not a big deal. Don't leave it too much later though!

It won't be your credit rating. What will happen is that you will get a fine, payable by the registered owner of the car. If you don't pay that your licence and registration may be cancelled, and the RTA will not deal with you to re-register the car until you pay the now astronomical sum they are claiming. The worst thing is that you may not be notified of the cancellation. If you are picked up for anything - maybe even an RBT you will be charged with driving an unregistered car and without a licence.
It is an evil bloody system.

If anything like in Melbourne, the first time it happens, you will receive a letter in the mail as a notification. The second time you will get a fine of $100.
All we have to do is stop at a Shell servo and purchase a day pass up to 3 days either side of the trip and you will be covered.
I know it works differently in Sydney tho with no grace period.

All depends where you're going & at what time of day...the toll may be cheaper than sitting in lines of non moving traffic burning fuel !
