I will never vote Tory in real life but in your scenario Boris might just get my vote.

The thing is - he knows what he is doing, the scruffy hair and untidy suit. Just like Ken Clarke its all an act. I love them both for it. I have a lot of time for old fashioned One Nation Tories, you know where you are with them. Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is a proper Tory, He's got his side of the fence and I have mine. Fair play to him.

I can't be doing with Dave "Call me Dave" Cameron. Both he and Boris were educated at Eton. Cameron is the grandson of a Baronet and is a 5th cousin of the Queen. He cycles to work and a car follows him bringing his shoes. He is seen carrying his baby in a sling but you know he has a full time nanny out of camera shot. Stop pretending to be a bloke!!!

If was going to vote Tory I'd vote for Boris, he's a national treasure at least you know what you are getting.

Absolutely not. The only way the Tories should make Johnson their leader is if they absolutely want to lose the next election. He's the single biggest eejit in the Tory party. Total vote loser.
Whereas Gordon Brown will have some difficulty seeing off Cameron, he would have no trouble at all with Johnson.

Mind you, that being said - Johnson for Tory leader! Go Boris!!!

No.
He certainly is a character and that is perhaps good for politics.
It is time he stopped playing the cuddly buffoon though, there is probably a brain somewhere behind the stammering wit and it's about time he put it into gear.

Our troops are still dying almost daily in Iraq while he has a jolly laugh on have I got news for you.

He is funny but at the moment we need all our politicians to be concentrating on their role as elected representatives until our boys and girls are home with their family's

I used to be all for the Torys, but nowdays all the parties are just mingling into one big party, full of liars.
It bores me now, Can we really make a difference?

I think not!

No, I would never vote Tory. I still haven't forgiven them for the miners strike - us Northerners have long memories and don't forget very easily!

of direction! i do no longer think of we are going to get one regardless of the undeniable fact that. John McCain is the main in all probability Republican candidate and a Democrat won't be socially conservative (too many orgies in college)

Don't know.

Conservative has been polluted lately by dumb religious moralist zealots.

Conservative used to be fiscal restraint and minimal government, maximum liberties, and civic responsibility.

If an old style conservative were to run, I would vote for that candidate. These days I think the closest party to old style conservative is the libertarian party.
