It seems that this Administration is slowly starting to formulate a coherent foreign policy now that Rumsfeld's evil influence has gone.
Is sanity starting to prevail?

Rumsfeld was a ruinous micro-manager. However, Bush was at the helm during Donnie's tenure so the warrant should rest with him (George).

And I'm a conservative, if that further validates my opinion. As for a more gainful foreign policy.....

I ain't seeing it.

It's too little too late. Gates is actually competent but he's been handed such a mess that I don't think he can find a workable solution...

wow dude the guys been gone for some time now. are you just now learning of this. I would agree that he was NOT the right man for the job.

Not for 17 more months. The problem wasn't Rummy, it was the tool who hired him. Rummy was a yes-man.
