Don't try and diagnose something like that at home. All you will do is panic yourself.

Make an appointment with the pediatrician ASAP. I believe that many tests are done at the time of birth so this may have already been ruled out.

Pick up the phone instead of the mouse, and don't work yourself up.

PS some babies shake more than others.

The first sign of epilepsy is seizures.
Most newborns do not have epilepsy or seizures.
If your child had a traumatic delivery and is having seizures, you will see a neurologist before discharge. If your baby was a normal deivery and is at home with seizures, go to the hospital.
A 'seizure' is typically uncontrolled contracting and relaxing of all voluntary and some involuntary musces, acccompanied by staring eyes and loss of urine. [ not just twitching in their sleep.]

I did a search for "infant epilepsy" and found this website http://www.epilepsy.com/info/family_parents_newborn.html.
It seems that it is difficult to determine seizures in newborns as their undeveloped nervous systems mimic typical seizure movements such as jerking, shivering, grimacing, and sudden stiffening. Some parents suspect something amiss when their voice does not attract their newborn's attention. Epilepsy in infants can be difficult to detect.
