well if you like your body then your fine. but if you really wanna know, then you should probably weigh around 110 or 115 (maybe even 120 if you have big muscles...lol). however much you weigh thats fine as long as you're fit, exercise regularly, and eat a balanced diet. if you are ok w/ your weight, dont worry about it.

There is no correct answer for how much you should weigh. What are you comfortable with?
The only advantage for a light weight female dancer is that it is easier for guys to do aerials with you. Yeah, they do aerials in swing dancing, and I have even seen some in Argentine tango [fantasia].
If you are going to be a ballet dancer, being short and light weight is going to be an advantage.
What concerns me about your question is that I am worried that you may become anorexic or bulimic. You may want to talk to your parents or a counselor at school. I knew a lot of girls in college who were anorexic / bulimic, and I don't want to see you go through that kind of trouble.

As a 5 year cheerleader and a 11 year tap and clog dancer, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WEIGH! Now, if you were in Juliard, it might matter. If you are doing it for yourself or your school, it does not matter at all. From what you've said, you are at a perfect size and weight. I'm 5 foot too and not big, but cheer has made my legs really muscular. Dancing will elongate your legs like pilates. Don't worry about your weight, just worry about your torres!!!!

there is no correct weight for you--whether you are a dancer or not. the girls your age might be skinnier because they havent finished growing/developing yet, but dont let that affect you. and a lot of really good dancers dont look skinny becuase of their leg muscles etc. (esp. ballet)

There isn't a specific weight for you. If you had a problem with your weight, your doctor probably would have told you so. Don't worry about it and keep on dancing! =)
