You should withdraw from iraq coz the war is taking too many innocent lives both u.s and iraqi. there is no possible good outcome from continuous occupation of iraq.

I think we should, because so far everything we've been told about this war seems to be wrong, whether deliberately or accidentally. I don't think the answer is to just close down the military in Iraq and head home next week, but I feel those at the top of the political food chain need to invest serious time and effort in planning for a withdrawal with an eye towards starting in the next 6-24 months. I don't know enough about the logistics to give a more narrow time period than that, although I suspect that time period is achievable with competent planning.

I do not think we should withdraw from Iraq. I agree with you about the future impact of killings on the human race. But right now we are not there to kill Iraqis. We are there to prevent Iraqis from killing each other.
I should also mention that I was dead set against going to war while they were negotiating at the UN. I believe going to war was a mistake because (1) reason given not sufficient, (2) the war will
necessarily be long term, (3) Iran becomes a threat. These were my reasons against invading Iraq. I am very angry that we did.
Ok, so we went to Iraq. Can't turn back time. Now we have to do the responsible thing. Yes, it's an awful situation. But the US started it. The urge now is to leave Iraq. It's so tempting to just walk away. Hey, not our problem, right? Well, nothing is that simple. Iraq will not disappear.
Do you think the Iraqis will live happily ever after if we leave? No, we broke that country. And now we just wipe our hands clean and walk away? It was a crime to invade Iraq. It's an even bigger crime to leave now.

This is just my opinion:
I think it would be nice to be able to withdraw from Iraq but the outcome of doing so may be even worse than staying. While there are thousands of people who are probably sick and tired of staying and would much rather go home, if we pull out now then it may somehow cause the war to somehow spread outside of Iraq. Why I think so is because the criminals running wild right now will still be running around wild and people will most likely group together and start planning. As long as we stay in Iraq and try to create a stable court system and so on so that the people who are currently running around going crazy will have a just punishment and the curruption and current condition of Iraq will become better stablized. I could continue going on but it might be a bit too long to read haha

I believe we should leave Iraq because what we are trying to do is near impossible,we are trying to set up a democratic government and unless the Iraqi people themselves stop seeing each other as Sunnis or shii'a and begin seeing themselves as Iraqis, unless they can change their deeply ingrained idea that religion and civil government go hand in hand,it is not going to work.Secondly,as long as Al Qaeda is involved in fomenting terrorism in Iraq piting sunni against shii'a and against Americans we can not win, because we don't have a military large enough to close the borders and keep the unlimited supply of would be martyrs at bay.If we stay it will turn into a war of attrition and the military can not sustain it.Besides as you well say, conflicts have a way of spreading beyond original starting point.God knows we can't afford this war as it is.

I think we should because our soldiers deserve to come home after all they've been through. They deserve proper recognition and credit for their courage and die-hard determination in the face of such combat. President Bush needs to wake up and smell the coffee and do us all a favor for once, by bringing our men and women home for good.
