Does anyone no how was Jimmy Carter known in his time(besides the peanutman)?

By the way, what do you mean "in his time"? He is still out there doing all kinds of meaningful and worthwhile things. Read a few of his books or sign out for a Habitat crew and find out.

James Earl Carter was the President of the United States. He was president after Ford and before Reagan.

He had the unfortunate problem of being president at the time interest rates were in the double digits. (Due to the end of the Vietnam War.)

He tried to put programs through to help people. He believed in human rights - and his policies showed that. He believed in improving the environment. He was very intelligent.

I am old enough to remember Jimmy Carter's presidency.

However, you should read the sources written below.

I like Jimmy Carter. However, not everyone did.
