This is not a keeper league. Who will be the better fantasty producer? Both put up big numbers last year. I know Mauer will hit for a higher average, but McCann will likely hit for more power. If you had both on your fantasy team, which one would you trade?

Depends on the rest of your roster. Evaluate the rest of your team and see if you need Mauer and the higher average (dont forget he is good for a few stolen bases) or do you need a home run hitter worse (24 for McCann, 13 for Mauer). McCann did hit .333 last year so the average is pretty close and the RBI totals are pretty close. The rest of your roster will dictate which is a better fit but you cant go wrong either way. Good Luck!

Mauer is the safe pick - Twins have solid squad and he'll have good company. Take a look at Russell Martin, the LA Dodgers catcher - this guy has has a great April (.314 with 18RBI's 17 runs scored and 5 steals). If he's still available, scoop him up and ride him till he gets cold.

well since mauer's injured, put him on the DL and start mccann. when mauer's activated, start him and either trade mccann or put him in the util spot.
