Those of you who say you are #1 are in the minority, or you are lying. Most people do not live their lives for themselves. They live their lives for other people.

So choose:
A) Someone else is #1
B) You are selfish

Be honest.

A lot of you people aren't looking at the other questions I posted. How do you explain the difference? Why do 99% of OTHER people say that someone else is #1, yet so many of you claim that YOU are #1?

i do no longer think of this is basic to discover desirable women human beings that r virgins. i'm no longer asserting there are no, i'm purely asserting this is going to likely be perplexing. i'd advise attempt having a relationship w a non-virgin lady. tell her approximately your religeous ideals. If she loves and respects u and is mature sufficient, she'll comprehend. I comprehend ur satisfaction difficulty and all those issues, yet u may be thinking ton plenty. a woman who somewhat loves u purely sees u. She heavily isn't thinking approximately all her exes and how they did this or that. If something considering u'r so distinctive from different adult men, she'd possibly be taking section in the unique stories with u. a girl continually appreciates a guy who desires to get to comprehend a girl from the neck up. it somewhat is my suggestion. sturdy success!

To me, it's pretty basic. When you wake up every morning, the first person you notice is yourself, then you begin to think about others. Human instinct. When you're a mother, you have to feed your soul to be able to nurture others. I don't think that this is selfish. When you're in a relationship if you give all you've got until there's nothing left and your mate doesn't nurture you but asks for more, your soul will wither. It's better to keep a symbolic basket of fruit under your arm to get you through the lean times. You have to have both a sense of self and have concern for others in balance.

I used to think im selfish when i was a teenager..
because i refused to fulfil my parents' expectations of me.
But when i grew older i realised that actually i am not selfish.
I do place people in front of me.
Although I'm married now, my sis is always my number one concern.
And then my parents and then husband.

But if you were talking about a stranger in a public place.
Most probably is i wont care about them so much.
I can probably help a blind man cross the road..
but i wont go all the way to reach out to them.

Every person on the planet will at one time or another go through the "After Me, You can be first" stage in Their life. Most grow out of it with the passage of time and the acquisition of maturity. Some take longer than others, that's all.

Ok, not going through and checking your links. I'm just too lazy to care about some silly yahoo question to research it that much.

But, yeah, I care about me first. It's like on an airplane when they tell you to put on your O2 mask before those of your children.

You can't spend your life ignoring what you want and what will make you happy in the hopes that you can make others happy. First, they'll see that. they'll realize that you gave up on yourself and dedicated your life to them. If all goes well they'll just feel guilty about it and fail miserably at trying to make you happy because not even you know how to do that. At worst they will hate you for it because you have put too much pressure on them expecting them to live for you as well as to do what they need just to survive. They gave up on being happy long ago. It's hard to be happy with someone else breathing down your neck.

Second, you can't ever really know what happiness is without experiencing it yourself. And once is not enough. You need to be able to be happy to give happiness. You need your own pleasures and not rely on the happiness of others alone.

I care about me first because if I can't take good care of me, f I can't make myself happy then how can I ever hope to do the same for another?

Spirit, then my kids, then me.
It is hard to put anyone else first when you have kids.
I'd like to see where the answers are if you ask this same question of the men here, too.
Even things out a bit.
Good luck

yes, i'm selfish, i admit it. i say this because if i don't help myself first, i am in no doubt unable to help the other person. it's not necessarily a bad thing to think of ones self first. if ALL of us thought of ourselves FIRST instead of worrying about what OTHER people are doing, we would probably be better off in the long run. example: a wife who is selfish in bed....wanting hers first all the time sounds selfish at first until you find out that if the wife gets hers first then the husband will be grateful in the end. helping yourself first, can give you the ability to help others in a more meaningful way....don't discount it.

You're damn right I'm selfish! Why the hell should I put someone else's happiness before mine? I care about my family and my friends, but I always look out for number-one. (Since I'm unmarried and childless and intend to remain so, I'm entitled to be selfish.)

EDIT: You act as if we're all supposed to think the same way. Sorry to be the one to tell you, but minorities exist in everything.

The problem with entering ANY horse race in life is that the one who does not come first dies panting.

The one who comes first, will be second some day, and then he will also die panting.
